Web Accessibility

At The Western Club, we like to cater for everyone. That is why our website complies with the Web Accessibility Initiative’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. What does this mean? In a nutshell, we have used text instead of images as often as possible, and where we have used images we have also used the alt text attribute, and the title attribute on links.

We have stripped away Javascript to an absolute minimum, we have used a skip navigation link and added a number of access keys. These keys can be activated in modern web browsers when pressed along with the ‘alt’ key on Windows based systems, and the ‘control’ key on Macintosh based systems.
